Selection Criteria

Five criteria will be used to select proposals and throughout the competition. You will receive a maximum of 5 points for each category.

Significance

Does your project adhere to our mission? The proposed project directly tackles the issue of disinformation in electoral processes by providing specific solutions, tools, or strategies. Additionally the project proposed is expected to have a lasting impact outside of the project’s scope and timeframe. (examples: to combat the spread of misinformation in the context of elections, fact-check claims, educate voters on identifying reliable sources).

Innovation

Is your project innovative in the European context? New and innovative ways, techniques, and programmes that serve as tools and solutions to tackle misinformation related to elections. The proposed solutions should demonstrate originality, creativity, and out-of-the-box thinking in addressing the challenges of disinformation.

Technological Aspects

What technology does your project leverage? The use of technology will be a key aspect. For instance, design, functionality, infrastructure, platform, security and instruments, technology enables solutions to be easily adopted and impactful. A special attention will be given to projects/solutions that include an AI element into its technology, however this is not mandatory.

Team

Can your team make it happen? The unique efforts, performance, and dynamics within your team (and/or consortium) and how effectively you work together to achieve top results. Capacity to conceive technical solutions. The team showcases a diverse set of complementary skills, including nonprofits impact, project management, political and media background coupled with the ability to manage and implement technology.

Scalability

Can your project last beyond our grant? The ease with which the project can be replicated on a larger scale. The overall technical, financial, and social feasibility of the project will be assessed. The specificity and feasibility of financial and timing considerations will also be evaluated.
